The 56 year old Mamata Banerjee of Trinamool Congress has been sworn in as the first woman and 11th chief minister of West Bengal at 1.01 pm in Kolkata. The outgoing chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattarcharje was among the galaxy of VIPs who graced the ceremony.
